Finally… more Shunya Yamashita figures. Yamato is releasing two new figures based on artwork by Shunya Yamashita, designer of the upcoming bishojo Marvel figures.
The first one is Emaretta-Chan. She comes with a cape, sword, and skull base. The cape comes off and it looks like the top may also “be cast-off”. The sculpt stays really true to the original illustration. The sculpt was done by Sunny Day, who also guitar girl, Arisa … great stuff. Expect this to arrive around September for around $80.
The second figure is Roxanne. She comes with a sword and base. The sculpt is also true to the original artwork and that top looks so so shiny. The sculpt on this one was done by REFLECT, who also brought us Non-Non. Expect Roxanne to arrive a little bit later in October for around $90.

Check out this preview of the new game based on the G.I. Joe movie coming out soon. It shows some cool stuff from movie. You get a quick glimpse of what looks like Gung Ho, with his mustache, marine cap, and vest, Snake Eyes, and some vehicles like the Hummer and even the new Hiss tank. The trailer gives the game a release date of summer 2009. Check it out.

Remember the Skynet Research website we posted up for you to check out? Another website is up that infiltrates Skynet and is picking up on the conspiracy against the humans. We were just waiting for how they would approach the campaign… this looks like it could be pretty awesome. The website is kind of like those little conspiracy theory (or not so theoritical…hmmm…) websites some us know and love in blog form. They have images and sound hacked from Skynet they are trying to piece together to figure out what the heck is going on over there. Now on the Skynet Research website, there’s an audio recording that sounds like audio tape fast forwarding. The message: “Do not be alarmed. Ignore the audio disruption on our website.” is up. Japanese Spiderman TV Show aka: Supaidaman by Toei!
The Marvel Comics website is putting up vintage Japanese Spiderman episodes from 1978. The videos is subtitled in English so we can understand.
The first epidode is called “The Time of Revenge Has Come! Beat Down Iron Cross Group!”
In this Japanese Spiderman it’s Takuya Yamashiro, a motorcycle racer, instead of the camera- toting Peter Parker. He becomes Spiderman and defeats Professor Monster in episode 1.
Episode 2 is called “Mysterious World! The Man Lives to Fate.” Description: When a train suspiciously overturns, Takuya [Spider-Man] believes Professor Monster and the Iron Cross Army are responsible, while flashbacks reveal the tragic details surrounding Garia’s arrival on Earth and the transfer of power to Takuya.
It looks pretty cool. It has that late 70s/early 80s feel to it…kinda like Chips and Battlestar Galactica.

With a great big WTF, Sci Fi channel is becoming SyFy.
How dorky is that?
It will have an even dorkier slogan : “Imagine Greater”… which makes even less sense.
First… why are they changing?
They claim that they want to broaden their audience to include fantasy, supernatural, paranormal, reality, mystery, action, and adventure… funny, sounds like what they already show… to accommodate a broader range of imagination-based entertainment….Their explanation sounds like 1984 double speak and is weak.
Typographically speaking…
SyFy looks STUPID. It doesn’t even look English. They claim they want to expand into the international market… could this be why? It also looks comical and cartoonish.
The change will start this July so stayed tuned or de-tuned.

Hot Toys has more awesomely real figures coming out…
This time it’s 1/6 scale Terminator figures from the upcoming Terminator: Salvation coming out soon.
First up the most recent drop: John Connor.
Christian Bale is realistically depicted as John Connor.
The figure comes with loads of accessories including:
a uniform (leather jacket,pants, T-Shirt, tactical body harness, tactical boots, and assault gloves), headset, radio with pouch, M4 magazine pouches, pistol magazine pouch, demolition blocks, drop leg panel, armband, and patch)
He also comes well equiped:
M4A1 rifle with tactical red dot sight, Xm-26 LSS, line launcher, pistol with holster, and a tactical knife)
Next up is the 1/6 scale Terminator T-600 Endoskeleton.
This is one mean guy with a huge gattling similar to what Arnold sported in Terminator 2.
The figure has 25 points of articulation and comes with cool light up eyes. The figure comes with an ammo back pack for his gattling gun and a base.
Last is another Endoskeleton, the T-700, the regular Terminator we are used to seeing.
It also comes with 25 points of articulation plus articulated fingers and toes…wow! This thing also has light up eyes and a base. Unfortunately… there is no mention of a gun. That kind of sucks… A terminator with no gun?
