The cowgirl, Juliona Trans, PVC is coming out soon.
The figure is based on the Masamune Shirow book cover for “Wild Wet West” and was sculpted by Cerberus Project. Masumune Shirow is famous for his Ghost in the Shell Series.
Juliona Trans sits on a big bag of money while holding two big guns and smokes a cigar. Her cowboy hat and cigar are removeable and she has four guns in all. A big horseshoe backdrop completes the figure.
A few things missing that are on the cover but not on figure is the shotgun in the back and the gold coins…but it’s ok… The excellent translation from illustration to three-dimensional figure makes up for it. It looks just like the illustration.

The paintjob is also great. The leather really looks like leather and the metal really looks like metal. The figure is 1/6 from the Good Smile Company. Juliana Trans is a great figure for any Masamune Shirow fan. Watch for this figure to hit U.S. stores in February/March.

A Watchmen video game is coming out based on the Watchmen movie. The game centers around Rorshach and Nite Owl. Not a lot of info is out yet but the preview shows that it’s going to have pretty cool graphics and some cool action moves. Check out the preview below.
From The New Frontiersman comes another viral video for the Watchmen movie. The 1977 archival video called The Keene Act and You is a public service film from the House Committee on Un-American Activities. The PSA for the Keene Act is anti-superhero and seeks to raise ill feelings against those who wear costumes by calling them vigilantes. The Keene Act prohibits masks, capes, experimental gadgets and weapons, and dangerous unlicensed vehicles. The Watchmen is coming to theaters March 6.

Kotubukiya has given their upcoming bishoujo Rogue figure a new companion… Black Widow! This figure is also based on illustrations by popular Japanese artist, Shunya Yamashita. The rumors point to a whole line of anime/bishoujo-inspired Marvel figures by Kotobukiya. Bishoujo Black Widow is 1/8 scale, PVC, and expected to arrive in August. More to come!

There’s a little hint that Spiderman 4 will have Spiderman duking it out with Morbius, the Living Vampire. Morbius made his first appearance in The Amazing Spiderman #101 in 1971. Morbius ties in to Blade (another Marvel title). They are enemies. He is also connected to Werewolf-By-Night, Man-Thing, Ghost Rider, and Dr. Strange. Spiderman versus vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural enemies???… Could be pretty cool. This is not that far off considering that director, Sam Raimi, has a long list of horror movie street cred including Evil Dead, The Grudge, 30 Days of Night, The Messengers, etc, etc…

Check out this huge Batmobile on it’s way from Hot Toys. It’s 1/6 scale and made to fit a 12-inch Batman figure. The massive Batmobile is 29″ long, 18.5″ wide, and 11″ high! The headlights light up. The cockpit opens up to put the Batman figure inside, and the breaking flaps move. The cockpit has a cool HUD display and a even a passenger seat! The tires look sick and the afterburner looks real.
This thing has been in the works for a while. It won’t be long till you can get your hands on one. The batmobile is available for preorder now with an expected delivery date of May, 2009.
