Japanese Spiderman TV Show aka: Supaidaman by Toei!
The Marvel Comics website is putting up vintage Japanese Spiderman episodes from 1978. The videos is subtitled in English so we can understand.
The first epidode is called “The Time of Revenge Has Come! Beat Down Iron Cross Group!”
In this Japanese Spiderman it’s Takuya Yamashiro, a motorcycle racer, instead of the camera- toting Peter Parker. He becomes Spiderman and defeats Professor Monster in episode 1.
Episode 2 is called “Mysterious World! The Man Lives to Fate.” Description: When a train suspiciously overturns, Takuya [Spider-Man] believes Professor Monster and the Iron Cross Army are responsible, while flashbacks reveal the tragic details surrounding Garia’s arrival on Earth and the transfer of power to Takuya.
It looks pretty cool. It has that late 70s/early 80s feel to it…kinda like Chips and Battlestar Galactica.
The Marvel website currently has two episodes up with more on the way each week.
Megan Fox is negotiations to star and develop Fathom.
Fathom is a comic book created by the late Michael Turner. The comic revolves around Aspen, a female warrior of the sea. First Lara Croft, now Aspen… cool.
Sounds like a pretty good match. Two hours of dripping wet Megan Fox sounds pretty good to me.

A new addition to the Covers Girls of the DC Universe is coming out in October. Dressed in all black with cool retro goggles is the Catwoman. The statue is based on Adam Hughes cover art for Catwoman #46. The sculptor did a good job. It looks just like the cover. The face and body look very realistic also. The statue is cold cast in porcelain and has a retail price of $99.99.
Kotobukiya put their anime bishoujo Scarlet Witch out for display at the New York toy fair. This is the third figure based on Shunya Yamashita renderings of Marvel heroines. The first were Rogue and Black Widow. More to come!

An online Watchmen video game is out called The Minutemen. It’s supposed to be a retro arcade game from 1977. The game is side scrolling and it looks like Sega Genesis graphics. You can choose to be Night Owl 1 or Silk Spectre 1. You can punch and kick enemies as you try to make it through the level. It’s a little bit like the old Double Dragon and Bad Dudes. Check it out for a little fun before the movie comes out next month.
